From the start, The Clean Store has been focused on giving you excellent service and cleaning, and value, in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Beginning with the type of cleaning solution we use in our dry cleaning processes to the biodegradable poly bags we put on your freshly cleaned and pressed items, we care about the long lasting impact these
choices will make, well past next season’s new fashions.

Thinking Green starts with the cleaning process. Most dry cleaners use Perchlorethylene (PERC), a harmful solvent, to dry clean clothes. At The
Clean Store, we clean clothes using Hydrocarbon, and Professional Wet Cleaning.

The advantages of Hydrocarbon cleaning are:

• It’s biodegradable and is similar to the type of hydrocarbon used in hand sanitizer.
• Can be used with many sensitive fabrics and trim (unlike harsher perc).
• Your clothes will be odorless, and will not have that chemical smell.
  Many customers say this is better for their allergies and their children.
• Hydrocarbon is gentler on your clothes, helping them last longer.

It’s more than just the cleaning solution:

• We seek out and use the best and most environmentally friendly detergents.
• Our state of the art barcode system greatly reduces the need for paper tags.
• We use biodegradable poly to cover your garments, or your can purchase our Green Garmento bags for regular use.
• We not only recycle hangers, we also give our customers special hanger boxes to make it easy for them to participate.
• Our pickup and delivery van was chosen for its fuel efficiency.

At the heart of communities are small family owned businesses. As one of those, we are committed to being caring community members.

Since our first year of business, we have coordinated a coat and jacket drive through One Warm Coat. To date we have collected (with the help of our wonderful customers), cleaned, and delivered nearly 500 coats! We make sure that each coat donated is ready to be worn by its new owner.

We also donate our services, as well as certificates for raffles & silent auctions for PTOs, Schools, Little Leagues, Churches, organizations that protect animals, and more.
